Three Steps to a Personal Development Plan
Nov 15, 2019As we near the end of the year, many of us start to reflect on what has gone well and where they would like to see things different in their lives. The Personal Development Plan is not specifically business related, it’s about personal growth – a plan to help you grow personally and professionally. Here’s the rough outline of the three steps to create your plan.
Outcomes – What are the outcomes, or results, you want to hold yourself responsible for? Here are some examples: Improve as a leader, Develop deeper relationships with those closest to me, Get more enjoyment out of life, and Healthy living.
Projects – These are actions you can take, specific projects that will support the outcomes. Think in terms of Growth through learning, Growth through relationships and Growth through experiences.
Changes – By making three types of changes, we can create more space to accomplish what we want. Consider what you must Start doing, what you must Stop doing and what you can Automate, Streamline or Delegate.
